Remeeting makes spoken conversations searchable. It’s a mobile app that syncs to cloud storage – with speech & speaker indexing to get more out of meetings. This is a spinoff of research at the International Computer Science Institute. This talk will discuss some of the unexpected considerations involved in transitioning technology toward commercial applications. Finally, a new research initiative will be presented: a distributed system for privacy-preserving speech processing.

Arlo Faria is the co-founder of Remeeting and Mod9 Technologies. His PhD dissertation research was conducted with the Speech Group at the International Computer Science Institute in Berkeley.
