From the Berkeley Edge Festival 2003. featuring Dan Kennedy & Russel Greenberg, Percussion; Lauren Carley, Soprano; and David Milnes, conducting. The work is scored for 1 horn, 2 percussion, 1 harp, 1 mezzo-soprano/narrator, and stereo tape. It was commissioned by Radio France and was premiered at the Presence Festival in Paris by the Continuum Ensemble with Joel Sachs conducting in 1999.
The sound artists and composers of the CNMAT Users Group (graduate students in music composition) present an electronic sound garden in the cozy forgotten courtyard at the rear of Hertz Hall. Listen closely. The intangible sonic foliage reveals its secrets in a tantalizing mix of the real and the unreal.
