Click on the above link for a QuickTime video of a lecture by Jay Cloidt at Hertz Hall from January, 2010, on "Audio Tech in the Real World".

Describes the basics of audio technology for grad students and composers who are not yet proficient with audio technology, with an emphasis on putting on live concerts in Hertz Hall and elsewhere.

Also contains "How To Put On an Electro-Acoustic Music Concert", which covers logistics, organization, and communication for preparing a concert, as well as tips on preparing audio tech to avoid disaster in concert.

This lecture is to be given every year; this is the first iteration. CNMAT grad students are required to attend in order to be eligible for equipment checkout privileges at CNMAT; but it is also open to faculty (and to others by permission only).

See the basic index below for locating specific topics.
