**Configuration:**

- IP Printing via Postscript. The IP Address is 128.32.122.124. Under Windows XP this is done by creating a new "Local Printer" with "Standard TCP/IP Port".
- Browsable from any Mac OS X machine connected to the local network. It will be identified as *HP Color Laserjet 5550DN*

**Usage notes:**

Do NOT use paper or media designated for inkjet printers. They will damage the printer requiring a costly fuser unit replacement.
Use special paper for color laser printers for high quality results and plain photocopier/laser paper otherwise.

Note that an occasional one page or two page jobs create the same wear on the printer as dozens of pages done in a row, so try to print in batches.

Use the duplex option to save paper on long jobs.

For paper sizes other than letter you must use the manual feed tray, which folds down from the front of the printer. We hope to have a second tray soon that will hold 11x17 or 12x18.

Printer specific options allow you to tell the printer you have thicker or glossier stock. Most of these just result in the printer logging more wear on the printer (reducing the life of the parts), so please try your job at the basic "plain paper" setting first.
