##Audio output

Peak is very flexible, and can output to many destinations. This is the basic setup:

- In the Audio Menu, Sound Out -> select "Core Audio..."
- You should see a dialog box called "CoreAudio Playback." This a a place where the Clock Source is often automatically reset (improperly).
- Make sure the Clock Source is **2408: Word Clock In**
- The Play Through should be set to **Out 0 (TDIF) 1 & 2**
- If the dialog box is not giving you these choices, click on "Hardware Settings..."
- This opens up the CoreAudio Settings dialog. Bothe the Input and Output Device should be set to **PCI-424**

- CAUTION: in the Peak "Record Settings" dialog window, there is a checkable item for "Monitor On/Off". When monitoring Peak's input and output through the same mixing board, it is quite easy to set up a feedback loop. Sometimes this loop won't be audible at low monitoring levels, but will rise to unpleasant level when output is turned up. Especially if you have microphones in the same room as your speakers the best default setting for Peak feed-through monitoring is *Off*.
