Suppose a microphone is accidentally broken at a concert. This should be reported in such a way that someone will be notiified, the gear will be marked as not available for reservations, and then when it's fixed that will be noted, the history of the maintenance will be saved, etc.
The current vision is that we would [cnmat:node/2628|use the Case Tracker module] to file a case about the broken equipment, and that somehow this would automatically generate an email to the person in charge of maintaining that piece of gear and also indicate to the reservations system that the equipment is not able to be reserved until it's repaired. The node for the piece of equipment itself should maintain a list of links to all of the cases that were ever filed about it.
