The Center for New Music and Audio Technologies is pleased to be a partner in the Technologies of Notation and Representation (TENOR) Network and will be hosting related events at UC Berkeley in the 2019-20 academic year.

The TENOR Network brings together researchers and institutions to focus on the two principal modes of tracing ephemeral art practices in a more durable medium: Notations provide performers with a set of instructions or framings that guide their performance; Representations, in turn, preserve ephemeral art events (interpretations, improvisations or emergent collective performances) for comparison, analysis and archiving.

The fifth International Conference on Technologies for Music Notation and Representation will be held at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia, July 23-27, 2019, in conjunction with the Australasian Computer Music Conference.
