CNMAT welcomes Visiting Composer and Researcher Daniele Ghisi for 2020.  Together with Assistant Professor Carmine Cella, he will explore several advanced topics in computer-assisted orchestration and deep learning for music.

 

Born in Italy in 1984, Ghisi studied Composition and Mathematics in Bergamo, Milano and Paris. In 2017, he obtained his PhD in Composition and Music Research at Ircam/UPMC/Sorbonne. During the last few years, he has been teaching Electroacoustic Composition at the Conservatory of Genova (Italy). He is co-founder of the /nu/thing collective (www.nuthing.eu) and co-creator of the bach project, a family of libraries for real-time computer-assisted composition library (www.bachproject.net).
