Han Zhang is a researcher in music technology and a composer. She received her MS degree in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University, IL in 2020, and she is now working with Prof. Carmine E. Cella on music-technology-related projects and other creative works.

Han's previous works focus on the spectral modeling of timber and musical signal processing, on which she finished her master thesis. After joining CNMAT in October 2020, she began doing research in the area of computer-assisted auto-orchestration. Her current project aims to generate polyphonic scores with dynamic textures for orchestra given several conditions of the desired sound.
