France-Berkeley Exchange Program continues for 2008-2009

An exchange program for graduate student composers from UC Berkeley and France will continue for the upcoming academic year. [http://cnmat.berkeley.edu/people/evelyn_ficarra|Evelyn Ficarra], a student in the graduate program in composition in the Department of Music at UC Berkeley, will be in residence in Nice, France from October through December of 2008. A French student composer will be coming to UC Berkeley in the spring of 2009.

Works by CNMAT composers featured at MANCA Festival in Nice, France

The [http://www.cirm-manca.org/manca2007/|MANCA Festival] is an annual International Festival of Contemporary Music organized by [http://www.cirm-manca.org/|CIRM/Centre National de Création Musicale] and held in Nice and Monaco. This year's Festival features a number of CNMAT composers, including:
Sunday, November 4: Edmund Campion « Outside music »;
Wednesday, November 7: new works by student composers Aaron Einbond and Gaël Tissot;
