Laetitia Sonami will have an extended residency at CNMAT from October to November 2022. She will work closely with students and guest researchers on the application of sensors for musicians, composers, and sound artists. Her residency will culminate in a workshop concert presenting new pieces by CNMAT composers and researchers on November 18, 2022 at 6pm.

Prof. Carmine Emanuele Cella has been awarded the Traiettorie Music Prize 2022 by the Prometeo Foundation.

Here at CNMAT we often work with tactile transducers in large stage settings and this presents a number of technical challenges. Composers tend to favor inexpensive, off-the-shelf consumer amplifiers and transducer/exciters that can be difficult to interface with professional audio equipment without distortion or damage.
